They are both 104keys and have identical layouts. (The reaction to the 12-inch MacBook was… something else. I have two different locations to use my MacBook pro and attach an external USB keyboard at both places. Your device will then be connected and is ready. An Apple wireless keyboard, mouse or trackpad uses Bluetooth to communicate with your Mac. This is because they’ve made the mistake of classifying the iPad as a lesser sort of device, a compromise that people only use because it offers something the Mac can’t. I have recently got my hands on a Top Case with the Keyboard and Trackpad from a MacBook Pro (Mid-2009 or Mid-2010), and I want to use it as an external keyboard if its possible. But these specs legitimately break some people’s brains. Plug your keyboard into the USB port on your Mac, Macbook, iMac, Mac Pro, Mac Mini, or whatever youve got.
